The process of Legionella risk assessment will involve a detailed study of all the water systems including but not limited to the potable water system, water storage tanks, cooling towers, swimming pools, water features, irrigation system, etc. to identify the site-specific risk. Water samples from the various identified high-risk areas will be collected for detection and enumeration of Legionella. The assessment will also include chemical analysis and bacteriological analysis of the water samples from various points to examine the vulnerability of the identified areas of concern.
We strictly follow HSE’s approved code of practice L8 for control of Legionella bacteria in water systems for prevention of Legionnaires disease. DM-HSD- GU44-LCWS2 Technical guideline from Dubai Municipality and OSHAD-SF CoP 12.0 The applied code aims at prevention and control from the risk of exposure to Legionella bacteria.
